Eczema

Luke has Eczema. After talking to our pediatrician and friends for suggestions, I realized that I just had to try several products and figure out what works best for Luke's skin.
So I went shopping...

So far, I've noticed that Aquaphor doesn't work to heal skin. It might be great to protect healthy skin (his cheeks for example) when we go outside in the cold weather. The nurse had suggested adding baking soda to soften the bath water but it doesn't work.

I LOVE the Mustela Stelatopia Milky Bath Oil. I add two or three capfuls of oil to his bath water. I also use the Mustela Stelatopia Cleansing Cream. It is soap free and I like it too.

The Eucerin cream is ok but I prefer the California Baby Lotion. I have to use it several times a day but it works really well. I know that California Baby makes a cream specifically for eczema-prone skin so I'll have to buy that for his super-dry spots. The Mustela Stelatopia cream works well on his face too.

So, after trying out and using these products for a few days now, his skin is already much better. I think that our regimen from now on will be Mustela bath oil and cleansing cream followed by California Baby lotion/cream.
