Luke got his first haircut!

I was too scared to go for the real deal so I just asked her to keep it natural! Thank you, Lyndee! You did a great job! (Cody was upset that I only came home with tiny pieces of hair and not one big curly piece...oops!)

Luke's one year stats

We visited the pediatrician today for his one-year check-up. Luke is doing great!
He weighs 23.6 lbs (58%) and measures 31 inches (84%). His head is still in the 94% and we joked that it must be a sign of intelligence. Ha!

He got three shots but he didn't get the seasonal and H1N1 vaccines because the doctor was waiting on a shipment of them. So we will go back for that as soon as possible. (Hopefully before our germy flight to Belgium in four weeks!)

I gave him whole milk for the first time today and he liked it. Dr. Tran had warned me that it might take a while for Luke to like it but it seems like he doesn't mind it at all.


Luke pèse 10,6 kg and mesure 79 cm. Sa tête est toujours aussi grosse mais ça doit certainement être un signe d'intelligence! hihihi!

Il a reçu trois vaccins mais pas celui contre la grippe normale ni H1N1 car le médecin attend d'en recevoir. On devra donc y retourner dès qu'il en reçoit!

Je lui ai donné du lait entier pour la première fois aujourd'hui et il a aimé. Le docteur m'avait dit que Luke n'aimerait peut-être pas directement mais je pense que ça ne sera pas un problème.

Luke is ONE!

The day finally came! I was not ready for it and I cried!

But I am happy. We have a beautiful and healthy son and I'm having soooo much fun staying home with him. I sometimes miss the tiny baby he was a few months ago but it is also so much fun to watch him grow and become a little boy. I love his sweet and laidback personality. He's always happy and just so easy going!

I got a really bad video of us singing happy birthday to him when he woke up. I should have turned the light on, oops!

Thank you, Jake! Luke thinks it's super cool! He loves trucks and wheels so it's just perfect!

We will have a party for him on Saturday and I will have lots of pictures to post after that.

Well, we made it to a pumpkin patch. It was a muddy mess but we got a couple of cute pictures! Plus, we got to spend time with our sweet friends Becky and Riley Jane. As you can see, RJ loves Luke! Luke received plenty of sweet kisses from his girlfriend! (Yeah, we know that she's older...so what?!)

Le temps a été particulièrement pluvieux ces derniers temps mais le soleil est déjà de retour et on nous annonce un beau weekend! Ouf, il était temps!

Luke is 11 months old today!

My little baby is not so little anymore and soon I'll have to refer to him as a toddler! WOW! Luke makes me soooo happy. His personality is just so sweet and I'm having so much fun with him every day.

He is becoming more and more adventurous and wants to discover the world around him. He is one busy little guy!

He loves his daddy more than anyone else... and yes, even more than his mommy! It really is a treat to watch the excitement in him when he hears Cody walking in the door after work. He starts to speed crawl and can't wait to be picked up!

He loves Duke but Duke is still not so sure about Luke. I guess I don't blame him so much and I don't think I'd appreciate having a little guy pulling on my hair and tail all day long either!

I've been busy planning his first birthday party and I can't believe it will be here so soon!
