Aggieland
We took Luke and my parents to their first Aggie game on September 11th. We spent the night in College Station and had a great time!
Luke is 22 months old!
Luke is still sweet and happy. We haven't hit the terrible two's yet but I'm sure the temper tantrums are coming ;-) He rarely gets upset but shows his disagreement with us once in a while.
He loves to play outside. He also loves his playroom! When we were looking for a new house, a playroom was a must-have. I'm so glad we have one. It's a fun and safe place for Luke, he loves it, and it allows me to get things done. :-)
Luke also loves to climb on everything just like a little goat ;-)
He really loves school! His teacher, Ms. Ronel, is super sweet! We really like her a lot. She is from South Africa and when she found out Luke was going to be in her class, she told me that she was excited to have another "foreigner" in there!
He is fluent in gibberish but we haven't heard a word of French or English yet. We just have to be patient with him. I think it will be just like walking. One day he wasn't walking (not even one step) and the next he was walking around the house!!!
I can't believe he will be TWO so soon.

Luke's First Day of Preschool!
Oh my, how time flies!!!! Again, today was such a bittersweet day! My baby is growing up and fast! Today was his first day of preschool and it went really well. He loved it! He didn't cry at all when I dropped him off and wasn't all that excited to see me at pick-up time :~) Frankly, I was a bit disappointed! He was more interested in the toys than in seeing me! But my heart feels better knowing that he had a great day! His teacher, Mrs. Ronel, has already told me that he might cry on Wednesday and next week, as the first day is always the most exciting one, and once the kids realize that this is becoming a regular event they might not be as excited about it anymore.
He brought home the cutest little craft with his handprint. It's already on the fridge. I have a feeling that I am going to have to buy a big plastic tub to store all of those. I am normally not a keeper (unlike Cody!) but when it comes to Luke and his things it's a totally different story!!!

Luke is 21 months old!
It's been way too hot lately and we have had to spend too much time inside. Good thing we have The Wiggles to keep us entertained and let's not forget the Tonka trucks collection! We've added a few pieces to the collection lately and Luke is in love!
Lukey can now climb out of his crib! He made it out safely a couple of times and I found him reading books or playing in his playroom. But one time he fell hard and cried for a long time! So, he now sleeps in a sleep sack again and it seems to be enough to keep him in. I guess, it is time to start shopping for his big boy furniture.
He is also fascinated by train sets and has a blast when we go to his friends who have train tables. I think that we will be getting him his first train table for his second birthday.
Daddy is still his best friend right now. They have lots of fun together!

The Dallas World Aquarium!
What a cool place that is! I think that Luke is still a bit too young for those kinds of activities but we had fun and enjoyed it. He was asleep in his carseat as soon as we left the parking lot!!!

Luke is 20 months old!
Luke, you bring so much joy to us!!! You are such a sweet kid!
Lately, you love doing puzzles. It's so fun to watch you focusing on the pieces and finding the right place for them all.
You've also had a ton of fun with a new toy (spiral tower) you received at your birthday that we just pulled out of the cabinet! It's always a good idea to save some cool stuff for later!
You can build some tall towers with your "megabloks" and can be very specific at times about only wanting to use single blocks or double blocks.
You love to go swimming and love to play at splash parks.
You love to run!!! So fun to watch you!
You still love books and The Wiggles.
You are a good eater and a great sleeper.
You are favoring your daddy a lot too and even cry when he has to leave for work or other things. You only want to spend time with him when he's home in the evenings.

Happy Birthday Ben!!!
What a great night we had! Dinner at Reata and drinks at Pete's piano bar. Love Fort Worth!!! (Ben's birthday is really on 07/06 but we couldn't celebrate until 07/07.)
